YOUTH MENTORING & VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
GOD’S HAVENS FOR CHILDREN is dedicated to recruiting, screening, training, organizing, and supervising adult mentors and volunteers in our community. We believe that it is in the best interest of the community to do all we can to help guide young people into responsible adulthood. This is accomplished by many diverse methods including;

Help provide support and encouragement to local foster children and youth.

Offering opportunities to discover and participate in new hobbies.

Providing job search and interviewing skills training.

Matching youths with businesses for local job training and apprenticeship opportunities.

Arranging study skill development and tutoring assistance

Raising the awareness of local youth to explore goals they may never have considered

These goals can be accomplished by investing time into the life of a young person. When people know you really care, then the door is opened for your to share what you know. Many times a caring Mentor will be the first positive relationship the youth will have ever had with an adult. While this program is not for everyone, we are here to offer opportunity and support for those with the heart and the desire to help young people.
